Egress partners with dotNEXT to help organisations tackle the growing issue of insider risk

DotNEXT to offer Egress Intelligent Email Security to defend organizations from targeted phishing attacks and data loss.

Company news

London, UK – 4th November 2021 – Egress and dotNext announced today that they have partnered to help organisations in South Africa tackle their most complex cybersecurity issue: human-activated risk.

Email communications are embedded in every organisation and form a crucial part of employees’ day-to-day operations. However, email is also attributed as being one of the most lucrative and widely used cyberattack vectors today - over 90% of malware, including ransomware, is delivered via email. It only takes one user to click on a malicious link to compromise an entire network. Organisations also face a daily battle against outbound data loss on email, as a result of human error and malicious behaviour.

dotNEXT will offer the full Egress Intelligent Email Security suite, which comprises three products: Defend, Prevent and Protect. These can be used individually or as a single platform to provide a comprehensive approach to tackling the issue of human-activated risk.

Egress Defend provides an innovative solution to stopping targeted phishing attacks. Using natural language processing (NLP) technology, Defend analyses the content and context of each email before it arrives in the employee’s inbox. Defend is the only anti-phishing solution to utilise a zero-trust approach, detecting even the most advanced attacks including impersonation attempts and business email compromise. Defend also partners with end-users to provide employees with active education around how to spot an attack.

Egress Prevent mitigates the risk of outbound email data loss, including accidental and intentional incidents. Prevent utilizes contextual machine learning to understand the context of emails as well as the relationships between senders and recipients. This deep contextual analysis enables the solution to prevent incidents intelligently, whether a user is intentionally trying to exfiltrate data or even when sensitive data is accidentally being sent to the wrong recipient.

Egress Protect offers government and industry-certified encryption, providing the ability to apply the appropriate level of protection to emails based on content and context. Integrating seamlessly with the Microsoft 365 environment, Egress Protect is an easy-to-use, unobtrusive solution which enables employees to share sensitive data safely.
