Egress is looking for a UX UI Designer to join our growing design team.

The Role

We are looking for a UX UI Designer to work on our exciting suite of products for desktop, mobile and web.

In this role you should be an enthusiastic designer who is able to analyse user needs, explore solutions and communicate your thinking clearly. A learning mindset and a strong work ethic is essential, as is a strong recent portfolio of UX projects.

You’ll make our product more user-friendly and intuitive to attract and retain customers. You’ll support and improve our design system. You’ll drive research projects from inception to completion.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Exploring context, problem space, requirements, design goals and success metrics.
  • Executing all visual design stages from concept to final UI design and hand-off to engineering.
  • Absorbing feedback from and giving feedback to other team members on design work.
  • Using and improving our design system.
  • Contributing to and analysing user research projects to answer questions and present the research.
  • Running and analysing usability tests and presenting the findings.
  • Managing your immediate stakeholders, deliverable timelines and communicating problems.
  • Facilitating group understandings of problems and solutions by running workshops and group sessions.

What you’ll already have done:

  • Proven experience as a UX Designer or similar role (2+ years).
  • Good level of skill in a UX design tool (we use Figma, but we understand mastery in one tool is transferable and that design tools change).
  • A strong portfolio
  • An interest in and good knowledge of user psychology and modern User Experience practice.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction

We are now back to running our monthly paid for social activities as our offices continue to get busier! For those who are working remotely, we can’t promise the coffee you have in your kitchen will be as good as the free ones we have in the offices but the people you share it with will be just as warm and welcoming.
