Day One of Infosecurity Europe 2015: People are the weak link in data security not technology
London – June 2015 – Egress Software Technologies Chief Operations Officer Neil Larkins will be presenting in the Technical Theatre on Day One of Infosecurity Europe 2015, at 10:40am.
People are the primary cause of all data breach incidents. As research shows, the emphasis put on end-user training and defined DPA policies has done little to reduce the number of incidents caused by human error or poor processes, with confidential information continuing to be sent to the wrong email, fax and postal addresses.
Using analysis of some of the ICO’s most recent data breach statistics and enforcement actions as a starting point, this presentation will offer technical insight into how end-user behavioural analysis can provide a new level of technology-led information assurance. It’s time to take decision-making away from people and put our trust in technology.
The presentation will take place in the Technical Theatre on Tuesday 2nd June at 10:40am.
