London, September 5, 2023 - The 2023 UK’s Best Workplaces in Tech™ list was launched this morning by Great Place To Work® UK, recognizing Egress in the large category. This is the second time the cybersecurity firm has been awarded in the tech category, having previously been classified as a medium company.

In an employee engagement survey, 78% of employees at Egress said it is a great place to work compared to 54% of employees at the average UK-based company,* strengthening Egress’ position as a leading employer. The survey also found 73% of respondents feel Egress celebrates people who try new and better ways of doing things, regardless of the outcome and 68% feel good about the ways in which we contribute to the community.

The latest accolade comes after a bumper year for Egress and Great Places To Work awards; earlier in 2023, Egress was ranked 50th in the overall category for large companies, 45th for workplaces for women, and 34th for wellbeing.

Now in its sixth year, the Best Workplaces in Tech™️ list celebrates companies adept at developing dynamic, collaborative cultures that serve as a catalyst for innovation and personal growth for all.

Laura Probert, Chief People Officer at Egress, comments:

“It’s been a fantastic year at Egress with four awards from Great Places to Work; it’s gratifying to be recognized across a range of categories, with Best Workplaces in Tech being the cherry on top. I think the whole leadership team agree the Egress culture is the best it’s ever been, and it shows in our performance as a business. The two cannot be separated.

“We’ve worked hard to have a distinctive culture based on our people’s feedback which runs through everything we do at Egress - 77% of people feel encouraged to balance their work and their personal lives which is supremely important in the cybersecurity space. I’m proud of each team member, as they have all contributed to Egress being a great place to work.”

Benedict Gautrey, Managing Director of Great Place To Work® UK said:

“The Best Workplaces in Tech™️ list is created using the anonymous feedback collected from employees within the technology industry about their workplace experience. In one of the country’s fastest-growing industries, it’s fantastic to see these Tech organizations putting their people strategy at the heart of the business and implementing policies, practices and programs that sustain an impactful and consistently great employee experience for all.  A huge congratulations to Egress for making one of our most prestigious lists.”
