Boston – September 2017 – In recognition of their commitment to global standards for security excellence, Egress Software Technologies, a leading data security provider, today announces that Egress Protect has been awarded Common Criteria Certification at Evaluation Assurance Level (EAL) 2.

Common Criteria is an internationally recognized set of standards used by organizations around the world to assess the security and assurance of technology products. The detailed level of scrutiny and evaluation provides end-users with the confidence that certified products have met necessary levels of assurance against government-backed security standards.

By obtaining Common Criteria certification, Egress is able to demonstrate to customers that in selecting Switch Secure Email and File Transfer, they are choosing an email encryption product that is capable of protecting their organization and the sensitive data their staff share.

Commenting on the announcement, Egress CEO Tony Pepper states: “As a leading provider of data security solutions to organizations around the world, it is important that we continue to demonstrate the excellence of our technology and our commitment to providing the highest possible levels of security and assurance to customers.

“Today’s confirmation that we have formally received Common Criteria certification is a further global endorsement of this commitment. By benchmarking our technology against this independent, internationally recognized certification, our customers and partners can be assured that they are investing in highly resilient data security technology that has been designed to deliver protection to their organization, their staff, and the information they share.”
