State of Delaware LogoEgress Software Technologies Inc., a leader in encryption services, announces that US State of Delaware is replacing its email and file encryption solution, Cisco IronPort Encryption Appliance (IEA), with Egress Protect.

Following Cisco’s announcement to end-of-life IEA, forward-thinking State of Delaware identified the need for a replacement solution that could cater for a mixed environment of on-premise Microsoft Exchange for state side users and Office 365 for K12 educational users.

The Egress solution helps Delaware meet this need by delivering a combination of encryption services designed to complement their hybrid environment. Once deployed, Egress Protect will enable State and K12 Education users to leverage single sign-on through Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) when accessing and sharing confidential information via email, using desktop, mobile, or web-based applications, without changing end user behaviour.
