Egress COO Neil Larkins presenting on Day Two of Infosecurity Europe 2014
London – April 2014 – Neil Larkins, Chief Operations Officer at Egress Software Technologies, will be presenting in the Technical Theatre on Day Two of Infosecurity 2014.
Recent media coverage of data breaches and international government surveillance programmes have raised major concerns about the security of shared information – including who is actually accessing it.
Ensuring that sensitive information remains secure even after it leaves an organisation’s boundary of control requires sophisticated systems architecture to not only maintain control over the actions that can be taken by third parties, but to also validate the identities of end-users. Looking at ‘Who’s really accessing your data? Building information assurance in a cloud-facing world’, this presentation will address key technical aspects of building information assurance when sharing confidential data, including: obtaining identity assurance over a community of third party end-users, how controlled release can improve data security, the impacts of data residency, and understanding the mechanisms that service providers can use to access and/or protect data.
The presentation will take place in the Technical Theatre on Wednesday 30th April at 10:40am.
