Egress Switch User Network October 2014 roadshow summary
London – October 2014 – Between 7th – 9th October 2014, Egress Software Technologies hosted a series of Egress Switch User Network events in Bristol, Manchester and York. These meetings provided valued Egress customers with updates on product functionality and the latest roadmap news, as well as offering the opportunity to have specific questions answered by the team and share ideas on the future direction of the Egress Switch secure electronic data exchange platform.
On the days
Welcoming attendees to the meetings, Egress’ Caroline Howard provided an overview of the product developments and wider business changes that have taken place during the last six to 12 months. These included discussing new functionality made available for Egress Switch Secure Email and Egress Switch Secure File Transfer through the recent v4.2 upgrade, as well as introducing new product lines Egress Switch Secure Web Form and Egress Switch Secure Workspace. In addition, Caroline discussed the benefits of Switch Secure Email’s recent achievement as the first, and currently only, email encryption product to achieve both CESG Commercial Product Assurance and Pan Government Accreditation, as well as the organisation’s status as one of the first to obtain ISO 27001:2013 accreditation. Further in-depth product and technical analysis came from Egress’ Neil Larkins, who performed live demos of each solution, including Switch Secure File Transfer’s integration with Outlook.

An integral part to each event was the Q&A section, which gave attendees the opportunity to not only have their questions answered by the Egress Team but to also network with peers and learn from each other’s experience on topics such as:
- The benefits that the Switch platform can bring to non-paying recipients and Egress’ initiatives to help customers increase data protection awareness in their third parties
- The benefits of belonging to the Egress Switch Trust Network
- How to tailor Switch solutions to best integrate with individual organisation’s infrastructure and work processes
- Enhancements to business administration reporting functionality
Feedback from attendees at all three events has been overwhelmingly positive and the Egress Team looks forward to welcoming new and existing customers to future Switch User Network meetings.
