As a result, the launch of G-Cloud 6 represents a key procurement route for many of our key public sector customers and partners.
“In addition to our own submission, I am delighted to see a number of our leading partners submitting Egress Switch services as part of their G-Cloud offerings. G-Cloud is a UK Government initiative to encourage the adoption of Cloud Services across the whole of the Public Sector. Our aims are to simplify how the Public Sector buys and delivers services by creating a marketplace of pay-as-you-go commodity services that can be easily scaled up or down, based on the changing needs of a business and its users.
The Programme is not just about IT, it’s about changing perceptions and encouraging a Cloud first approach; it’s about providing the right tools to help the business unleash innovation from the front-line and from citizens; it’s about helping a business become more flexible, agile and responsive to changing needs. The technology and the means to use it are here, so we must embrace change, start experimenting, share our experiences and not be afraid to be one of the first to go Cloud.
