A trusted security company

Trust is an important element between any vendor and customer - but never more so than with security software. Information security professionals are charged with protecting their organisation's data, including clients' and service users' personal information, staff data, and commercially sensitive information. When investing in security software, you therefore need to trust that vendor to help you protect this information.

Trusted software

This is a responsibility we at Egress take very seriously. We see this as a two-fold commitment. Firstly, we create software that you can trust, designing Switch encryption services to the highest possible standards and then putting them through rigorous third-party testing and certification schemes. This has involved both Government and industry certifications, including amongst others:

  • NCSC's Commercial Product Assurance
  • Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus
  • Skyhigh CloudTrust at Enterprise Ready

As a result, you don't just have to take our word for it when we say we can protect your data.

Additionally, when data and / or keys are stored in the cloud, we only recommend the most trusted hosting providers. As a minimum, all providers must be certified to ISO27001 (more on this below) but most hold extensive internationally-recognised certifications and accreditations. We also offer UK-only hosting as default to reduce the impact that international legislation may have on your data.

A trusted company

You can also trust Egress as a company. Again, we have looked to the best external standards to hold ourselves against. This is why we were one of the first organisations to be certified against the 2013 standard for ISO27001.

This is an extensive security standard that is now integral to the way every Egress employee works. From how we deploy our firewall, to monthly data security modules undertaken by all staff to ensure data protection best practice, our ISO27001 certification enhances our commitment to being a security-focused security vendor.

You really don't have to just take our word for it

We know that peer reviews, references and assurance can help when evaluating any security company. So don't just take our word for it - watch our range of customer testimonials online, including:

Additionally, as part of any evaluation process, we will gladly put you in touch with existing customers so you can hear first-hand how they use Switch services to protect their data.

We also arrange regular Egress Switch User Network events in the U.K. Organised exclusively for Switch customers, these meetings offer insight into the product roadmap and the chance to input new ideas to shape the software, as well as the opportunity to network with the Egress Team and other Switch users. We are also regularly joined by one or more customers who present on their usage of different Switch services, helping you understand how the software can be tailored to different organisational requirements.

An ongoing commitment

We see trust as an integral part of why any organisations should select Switch encryption services. As a result, we will continue to apply resources to building trust in any way we can. That includes undertaking new certification and testing schemes for Switch software, as well as continually enhancing internal processes to ensure all staff remain as security-focused as possible. This is a commitment we make to all our customers, so you can trust we are doing everything possible to help you protect your organisation's data.
